The Declaration of Independence of Israel took place
on May 14, 1948 at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, at number 16 of Rotchschild
Boulevard, coinciding with the legal completion of the British Mandate of
Palestine, the longed for Land of Israel of the Jews . The
declaration was made after a Palestine partition plan in two States, one Arab
and one Jewish, accepted by the Jewish community and rejected by the Arab
community, was approved a year earlier at the United Nations General Assembly.
I think here you can
perfectly apply the phrase "after the storm comes the calm", The
Israelis deserved their independence after years earlier they had lost
everything.
